DATABASE ANALYTICS MANAGER
at Blooming Dales in New York
The Analytics Manager will provide in-depth analysis of business results and consumer behavior to improve sales, profitability and customer value. Primary responsibilities include database management, analyzing the effectiveness of marketing activities, creating and analyzing dashboard reports for tracking of business results and ensuring data integrity. This position will oversee two direct reports
Responsibilities:
§ Analyze sales promotion results including evaluation of incremental sales/profit and present learnings and recommendations to management
§ Identify strategic trends and actionable customer insights based on a clear understanding of business objectives – retention, acquisition, purchase frequency, cross-shopping, profitability, etc.
§ Develop multi-channel view of customer and marketing programs
§ Analyze marketing campaign results including segment/customer response and optimize segmentation
§ Develop CRM strategies to improve customer profitability and loyalty
§ Develop ongoing KPI reports for website. Ensure accuracy of all data sources and timely delivery of reports.
§ Forecast traffic, conversion and demand plans for web business
§ Ownership, strategic development and functional improvements in marketing database design and effectiveness
§ Perform extensive data quality / data analysis to ensure integrity of database for business use
Requirements:
§ BS or BA degree in computer science or analytics is preferred
§ At least 5 years of related work experience in database or marketing analysis.
§ Must have extensive experience in data analysis
§ Expert skills in writing complex SQL queries to analyze, manipulate data, investigate data problems, develop and modify reports
§ Extensive experience with business intelligence systems such as Business Objects and analysis tools such as SAS
§ Strong experience with CRM systems and relational databases
§ Experience with web analytics and measurement tools like Omniture or Coremetrics preferred
§ Must be a conceptual and creative thinker
§ Strong data interpretation and communication skills; ability to summarize complex findings clearly and concisely
§ Self-motivated, proactive, disciplined, fast learner and organized. Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment
§ Must be detail-oriented
